Copper discoloration preventive agent "BT-14" (hydrophobic)

"Heat-resistant copper discoloration inhibitor" prevents self-oxidation of copper due to high temperatures. It is a water-soluble copper discoloration inhibitor that further enhances the heat resistance of BT-8.

We previously commercialized BT-8 as a heat-resistant discoloration preventive agent, but in response to the demands of our customers, we have developed BT-14, which has further improved heat resistance and the following features. The heat resistance is enhanced compared to BT-8, and it can be used at an acidic pH of 2 to 3. 【Features】 ■ Organic substances form complexes with copper, protecting the copper surface from oxidation. ■ Since preventing discoloration of copper often requires high-temperature heat resistance, we offer a heat-resistant discoloration preventive agent suitable for high temperatures. ■ The concentrate can be diluted from 20 times to 10 times for use, making it cost-effective. ■ Treatment at room temperature is also possible. For optimal performance in a short time, we recommend a treatment temperature of 50 to 60°C.

Silver tarnish inhibitor AC-70 (sulfur-based rust inhibitor)

AC-70 is designed to maintain resistance to sulfur gas like AC-20 and to form a thin, uniform protective film. Due to the thin and uniform protective film, there is no unevenness in thickness even when applied to glossy silver or semi-gloss silver plating. It is a silver discoloration preventive agent used to protect the surfaces of electrical and electronic components, as well as jewelry and artifacts, from various harmful atmospheres. The environments affecting silver and silver-plated surfaces are diverse, but particularly when exposed to atmospheres containing sulfur gas, sulfides are generated on the silver surface, causing the appearance of the silver surface to turn black, increasing electrical resistance in electronic components, and reducing conductivity. The silver discoloration preventive agent AC-70 forms a strong film on the silver surface, protecting it from sulfurization and oxidation.
